Se trata de paciente masculino de 32 años que acude a consulta por presentar visión borrosa en ojo derecho de un mes de evolución, acompañada de miodesopsias y metamorfopsias. Refiere el antecedente de infección por VIH 12 años previos, con mal apego al tratamiento antirretroviral. En la fotografía de fondo de ojo derecho se observan infiltrados perivasculares blanquecinos confluentes acompañados de bordes hemorrágicos, patrón característico en “queso cottage con catsup” que inician en la periferia con disposición centrífuga, compatibles a lesiones características de retinitis hemorrágica por CMV
