ABSTRACT

Background: Dyke-Davidoff-Masson Syndrome is a rare pathology, of undetermined etiology. Its presentation has been recorded more frequently in childhood and very rarely in adults. For the diagnosis of this disease, clinical and imaging studies with characteristic findings are necessary. Clinical case: 42-year-old male patient who had epileptic seizures from childhood, with poor adherence to treatment, until presenting a super refractory epileptic status. Conclusion: We should have high index of suspicion of this infrequent entity, in the presence of the aforementioned clinic, which can sometimes present as super refractory status epilepticus.
