ABSTRACT

Paraneoplastic pemphigus is an autoimmune blistering diseases secondary to internal neoplasms, known as paraneoplastic autoimmune multiorgan syndrome. Other organs can be involved, including the respiratory epithelium. Improvement of dermatological lesions has been observed after excision of the tumor. The definitive treatment is the management of the underlying neoplasm, a combination of steroids and immunosuppressors. The prognosis is poor, with a mortality of 90%. We report a 65-year-old male hospitalized for complications of urinary tract infection, with pemphigus and a renal malignant neoplasm.
