ABSTRACT

Introduction: the institutions that deliver higher technical professional education (ESTP) include the professional institutes (IP) and technical training centers (CFT), institutions that have within their academic offering, technical careers in the area of health, highlighting in higher-level technical nursing education. Duoc UC has understood that educational needs have been changing, which is why it has recently implemented projects that respond to that, one of these implementations being the use of technological tools that transfer practical skills remotely and asynchronously, as well as in effective feedback from teachers to students, promoting asynchronous, progressive and feedback learning. Material and methods: during the first semester of 2023, the C1DO1 methodology was applied to 210 students of the Duoc UC San Joaquín Campus Higher Level Nursing Technician course, in the subject of first aid techniques, this experience was carried out in two stages, with two topics relevant to the subject. At the end, a perception survey was carried out on both students and teachers in charge of the sections, and an analysis of the results obtained from this survey. Results: the number of students who participated was 210, distributed in 22 sections (sections 07 to 29), which carried out two stages of the C1DO1 methodology, being fed back and evaluated by teachers obtaining excellent results. Of the total grades, an average of 6.30 was obtained, with a median of 6.85 and a standard deviation of 1.17. Also, a positive perception was recorded, both by students and teachers, regarding the use of the C1DO1 tool. Conclusion: the application of the C1DO1 methodology in students of the technical career of Higher Level Nursing Technician of Duoc UC San Joaquín Campus, in the subject of first aid techniques, allowed the students to practice the techniques of first aid asynchronously and autonomously, until the required competence is achieved in each of the stages of the experience; In turn, it allowed them to improve their sense of security in their skills and abilities, which was reflected in their grades.
