ABSTRACT

Lipoma is one of the most common benign soft tissue neoplasms; it is rare in the oral cavity. Clinically, it is characterized by being a well-circumscribed, yellowish neoformation, with a soft consistency, of long evolution, and asymptomatic. Surgical removal is the treatment of choice, it does not usually present recurrences and has a good prognosis. In this article we present the case of a 49-year-old man with a lipoma on the lower lip.
