ABSTRACT

In individuals with intestinal failure it is difficult to eat and hydrate adequately. There are various tactics that have improved intestinal independence, better life and survival. We describe a case of intestinal failure: 48-year-old male, laparoscopy was performed with conversion to open surgery, a tumor of the proximal jejunum was observed, 15 days later he underwent reoperation and found a frozen abdomen. The jejunostomy insertion site is located, subsequently nutrition is started through it; a 100% oral diet is started with chyme collection and autotransplantation, two weeks later discharge is decided.
