ABSTRACT

Venous aneurysms are dilatations of 2 to 3 times the diameter of the surrounding normal vein. They are rare and generally asymptomatic, except when rupture occurs. They can be classified as primary or secondary. Diagnosis is made by physical examination, and diagnostic confirmation is made by duplex ultrasound, computed tomography, or magnetic resonance imaging. The treatment of venous aneurysms depends on their characteristics and location; this case contributes to the literature for introducing more precise therapeutic algorithms.
