ABSTRACT

Social networks and communities of practice are resources to make visible the knowledge generated in the university, but their potential for the management of scientific publication is little recognized and exploited. The integration of scientific communication, information management, participation in professional and non-professional social networks, communities of practice and scientific journals constitute a theoretical-practical perspective that favors publication management. The purpose of the authors is to socialize the actions developed by the Provincial Center of Medical Sciences Information of Ciego de Avila in the preparation of teachers and students of medical sciences for their participation in social networks and communities of practice in the management of scientific publication.
