ABSTRACT

The amount of information generated, placed, circulating and consulted in cyberspace now a days is unimaginable; the case of scientific and technological knowledge is no exception. Artificial intelligence faces the challenge of compiling, organizing, summarizing, interrelating and even trying to predict a result based on the analysis of the information generated. The way in which we can deal with the oceans of information through artificial intelligence requires new approaches from researchers and from the preparation of students. However, it must be recognized that artificial intelligence has not yet reached the creativity, imagination and divergent thoughts that humans possess, which are essential characteristics for scientific activity. Will we be able to adapt at the necessary speed to match such a tool and face the challenges that its use presents?
