ABSTRACT
Chronic shoulder dislocation is exceptionally rare. Sectional imaging studies determine the therapeutic approach. We report the case of a 59-year-old male with an anterior dislocation of the left shoulder of more than two years' evolution, who was unaware of his condition. He underwent magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) as a diagnostic approach due to functional limitation, where we observed anterior shoulder dislocation with complete loss of articular cartilage, a Bankart lesion, a Hill-Sachs lesion with a humeral head defect greater than 40%, fibrosis with thickening of the joint capsule, and integrity of the long head of the biceps and the rotator cuff tendons, except for the infraspinatus.REFERENCES
