ABSTRACT
Osteoradionecrosis (ORN) is a serious complication that can occur after radiation therapy to the head and neck region. It is characterized by loss of vitality, exposure, and lack of healing of the maxillary and mandibular bones. This condition can cause pain, infections, fractures, and a significant decline in the patient's quality of life. Treatment options go from conservative approaches like antibiotics, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, pentoxifylline, and tocopherol, to surgical procedures. A comprehensive approach is essential to control the disease and preserve patient´s function and well-being.
