ABSTRACT

A descriptive study was carried out in "Dr. Juan Bruno Zayas Alfonso" Teaching General Hospital in Santiago de Cuba, from September, 2010 to May, 2011, with the objective of showing the value of gadolinium to diagnose different diseases by means of the contrast and simple magnetic resonance. Female sex, age groups from16-25 and 26-35 years, brain and hypophysis tumors prevailed in the case material as the disorders which mostly needed the contrast, the slight enhancement of the lesion and the confirmation of the diagnosis subsequent to the administration of this contrast.
