Cutomated system for management of the international health control program in Cuba

ABSTRACT

The International Health Control Program proposed in Cuba allows the control and monitoring of the import of products, endemic and vector borne diseases from other countries. All this is done in hard format, manually, by phone, mail and Excel. There are some systems that doesn’t have developed all the necessary features for managing the information required. At the University of Informatics Sciences (UCI), we developed the system “International Health Control” (CSI). Its main objective is to automate all the processes related to surveillance, monitoring of hygiene, control of focus and the disease detection. For the implementation we used Apache, MySQL 5 database, PHP 5 and CodeIgniter 1.6 framework. With the implementation of the system is expected to centralize information management, providing speed, quality and information security.
