ABSTRACT

To all professionals, to learn a foreign language is paramount. The teaching of the English language has these years a great significance for the communication and to fulfill the political, social and economic assignment the Cuban state gives to these professionals, an improvement of the system of training is required. A developmental research with a qualitative approach in the Dentistry Faculty from the University of Medical Sciences of Villa Clara was carried out with the purpose of designing postgraduate alternatives for the accelerated learning of the English for specific purposes that contribute to a better performance when going on international missions in countries where English is required for communicating, besides learning a foreign language is an endless source of culture. The postgraduate alternatives, designed based on the identification of the learner’s needs, stood out by their systemic and flexible character.
