ABSTRACT

The gap between the status of Coma and Neurological Death represent somehow the pathway toward a new life that might potentially be saved thanks to the organs donor. Each Country give different conditions in attempt to satisfy the vigents laws, so that a patient whom stay in an irreversible status of coma, turn to be an organs donor once his brain has been declared neurology dead. In Costa Rica the ley 7409 rules out the conditions to be satisfied so that an individual might be claimed as an organ donor because of the neurological death.
