ABSTRACT
The odontogenic keratocystic tumor is a cyst that develops from the remains of the dental lamina. It is one of the most notorious tumors due to its aggressive and destructive potential, and the way it erodes the cortical plates and soft tissues. It also displays one of the highest rates of recurrence of any odontogenic tumor. We present a clinical case of an odontogenic keratocystic tumor located on the right side of the mandibular ramus. Following incisional biopsy, surgical enucleation was performed with the application of Carnoy solution. Histopathological analysis confirmed the diagnosis. Clinical and X-ray assessments were performed during the postoperative phase.
