ABSTRACT

The cutaneous aging process starts at age 30 to 35, and becomes quite obvious around 60 years of age. Clinically, facial aging presents as pale, wrinkled skin, with leathery texture and blotchy surface. The skin looks flaccid, dry, with telangiectasias and atrophy. Eventually, pre-malignant and malignant skin develop. Multiple techniques are currently available to improve these undesirable changes.
APTOS threads are a novel technology designed to support the aging facial tissues and improve facial contour. Herein, we present a simple and time saving placing technique that produces little scarring and it’s performed at the medical office under local anesthesia.
