ABSTRACT

The exam's most recent version for 2015- 2016 included a survey among candidates to evaluate its degree of comprehension, academic clarity, and application seats.
Material and Methods. Six ordinal variables were obtained through a six question survey. A transversal study was used for analysis.
Results. Student's answers to questions one through five regarding the exam's structure were: 27% excellent, 35% very good, 26% good, 10% regular, 2% bad. The sixth question shows the most frequent suggestions to improve the exam's process were clearer questions, and immediate delivery of scores and certificates.
Discussion. One of the CMCP's objectives is to be the organism in charge of neonatal pediatric specialist certification through a written exam. This is meant to stimulate study, praxis, improve knowledge levels, aim the advance in neonatology and serve public health's cause. Due to this it is extremely important to take into account the suggestions proposed by candidates.
