Optic disc drussen, chronic angle-closure glaucoma.

ABSTRACT

We present one case with diagnose bilateral optic disc drussen and chronic angle-closure glaucoma. The consulting reason was reduced visual acuity of right eye since six months ago. By ophthalmologic exploration best spectacle-corrected visual acuity of 20/20 as well angle graded 0 (Shaffer’s grading system) in right eye and angle graded 0 and II in left eye were found. Fundoscopic exam revealed intrapapillary drussen with a 0.8 cup-disk ratio. Automated Humphrey® visual field testing, ocular echography, optic coherent tomography (OCT) of optic nerve head and nerve fiber layer thickness were made. A medline search failed to find previous reports on the association of optic nerve drussen and chronic angle-closure glaucoma.
