Fetal varicella syndrome. A case report

ABSTRACT
The case of a newborn girl with fetal varicella syndrome is reported. The mother suffered varicella at the week 16 of gestation. The infection in the girl and the mother, was confirmed with ELISA’S method for antibodies of the varicella virus. The girl died to the age of 94 days.
