Objective: to promote the activities carried out by cultural managers in the community socio-cultural projects to increase the quality of life of the population and in particular of the elderly.
Method: a documentary review of the community socio-cultural projects was carried out in Pinar del Río municipality.
Results: the range of activities developed was observed in local projects, the change and social transformation that has led to the insertion of activities of physical exercise, crafts, and other actions in intergenerational works with predominance of old people in neighborhoods or people’s councils and the effectiveness in improving the quality of life of their communities.
Conclusions: the integration of the elderly in the activities carried out by the community socio-cultural projects has been remarkable, with cultural managers, who are the link in this process.
