ABSTRACT

The path to excellence is a necessary and profound cultural change, a philosophy about the integral management of the organization, through values that must be shared by all members of the Blood Bank. This process encompasses the entire organization and is measured primarily by the impact of the results obtained on users, collaborators, suppliers and the community. This paper describes the strategy employed by the Centro Estatal de la Transfusión Sanguínea (CETS) Jalisco to incorporate the Health Quality Management Model into our service processes at the Blood Bank, which led us to obtain the National Health Quality Award 2017 in the category of auxiliary and diagnostic services.
