ABSTRACT
Objective: to validate the implementation of the formative evaluation from a sociocultural approach in the subject Society
and Medicine.
Materials and Methods: theoretical and empirical methods were used as historical logical and the pro-cessing of statistical
information obtained in different methodological activities.
Results: the acquired experience from the pedagogical practice, joined to higher level of preparation and compromise of
the academicians, constitute the point of exit in the performance of the academicals activity that, from September of last
academicals course, has been aboard from the methodological work in all the forms of teaching organization.
Conclusions: in this form of evaluation, there is constancy of the active participation of the students, incor-porating it as a tool for their future performance.
