ABSTRACT
Introduction: Health services play a leading role in raising the health status of the population. The Health Situation Analysis allows to measure the satisfaction of the community with the service it receives.
Objective: To deepen the quality of the elaboration of the Health Situation Analysis by the fifth-year medical students, by seeking opinions about the satisfaction of families with the health service they receive.
Methods: A descriptive, cross-sectional study was performed in eight Family Doctor's and Nurse's Clinics, selecting Health Situation Analysis prepared by the fifth-year medical students of ¨Luis Li Trijent¨ and ¨Marta Martínez Figuera¨ teaching polyclinics in the academic year 2017-2018, through simple random sampling. A survey was applied to 360 families to determine the population's criteria regarding the service they receive.
Results: In the surveyed aspects, the criterion was identified that the doctor's and nurse's attention was regular in most of the cases and in the rest it was regular and poor, there was no predominance of very well.
Conclusions: The satisfaction of the population with the service they receive is affected. The analysis of the health situation carried out by medical students contains very useful information for decision-making in Primary Health Care and must be carried out with the participation of social actors from the community and other sectors.
