ABSTRACT
Introduction: we present the case of a five-year-old female patient who presented to the emergency department with abnormal movements, including focal myoclonus in the right thoracic limb in the absence of fever. Notably, her parents reported recent behavioral changes and a regressive syndrome that had developed over the past two weeks. This paper examines the diagnostic process, the in-hospital progression including admission to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), and the response to targeted immunological treatment. Objective: to document and analyze the clinical presentation and approach taken by the pediatric service at Hospital Angeles México to raise awareness for future cases.REFERENCES
