ABSTRACT
Introduction: we present the case of a 43-year-old male, who was admitted to the emergency department with priapism after consuming poppers (alkyl nitrites) for sexual intercourse, reporting a sustained erection in the absence of stimulation for more than 24 hours. After which, penile Doppler USG revealed thrombosis of the cavernous artery of the penis. This report addresses the process of admission to the emergency room, in-hospital evolution, surgical interventions, and possible complications. Objective: describe the presentation, clinical evolution, and post-surgical process in detail, including placing a penile prosthesis during a second hospitalization at the Hospital Angeles México.REFERENCES
