ABSTRACT

The case of a young patient with aphasia without a structural cause at the beginning of neuroimaging studies is addressed. A thorough analysis is carried out with precise studies and a toxicological walk-through, in which it is addressed as intoxication with consumption of cannabinoids and barbiturates, making the diagnosis and referring the patient to the neuropsychology service of our hospital. Emphasis is placed on the importance of reports in the literature on neurological deficit in patients due to acute-onset drug use, both due to the increase in strokes in our population and the need for dissemination in primary prevention.
