ABSTRACT

The triphalangeal thumb is a rare autosomal dominant congenital anomaly of the hand. Classification of this anomaly is necessary for surgical treatment; however, some patients do not report symptoms that need treatment. The case of a female patient in whom it was observed as an incidental finding is presented. A review of the literature on this little-described variant is carried out.
