ABSTRACT

Septic arthritis of the shoulder is an acute inflammatory condition, resulting in significant joint damage if not diagnosed and treated promptly. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has established itself as a crucial diagnostic tool in the evaluation of septic arthritis of the shoulder due to its ability to provide detailed images of soft tissues and joint structures. The objective of this case report was to describe the MR imaging findings in a 70-year-old male patient with acute symptoms. MRI showed soft tissue edema, myositis, bursitis, and collections.
