ABSTRACT
Choristomas are considered non-neoplastic growths composed of mature tissue in an atypical site. Despite being non-neoplastic, a histopathological study is required to differentiate them from other lesions. This article describes three cases of choristomas in the facial massif composed of bone, glial, and respiratory tissue, treated conventionally by excisional biopsy. The article addresses the importance of a histopathological diagnosis, since these lesions may have different differential diagnoses or even coexist with a malignant neoplasm.
