ABSTRACT
Papular acantholytic dyskeratosis of the genitocrural area is an uncommon dermatosis encompassed by the pattern called "focal acantholytic dyskeratosis". It occurs predominantly in females between the second and fourth decades of life, and the etiology is still unknown. Clinically, it presents as skin-colored papular lesions with a tendency to coalesce and form plaques in the inguinal, genital and perianal regions. These lesions are generally asymptomatic. Diagnosis is made through histopathology, and Darier disease and Hailey-Hailey disease must be ruled out. Treatment is symptomatic. We present the case of a 45-year-old female who was successfully treated with a topical calcineurin inhibitor.
