Comparative study of development psicomotor in children of develops I and III of 3 years of age, low socioeconomic level, with brothers and without brothers

ABSTRACT

Purposes of the investigation: To know the influence of the biggest siblings in the psychomotor development of the children, belonging to a socioeconomic level under
Basic procedures: The study was carried out in twenty families, they were formed two groups, the group had integrated by 10 families with a single 3 year-old son, the group B integrated by 10 families with 3 children, being the smaller than 3 years. To the children of both groups, they were applied the test of psicomotricidad of Brunet Lézine, to evaluate their psychomotor development. To the family parents they were applied a questionnaire to establish their socioeconomic level.
Main discoveries: 1 year-old differences 6 months they were observed for up of their chronological age, in the geste children III (group B). And a difference of 6 months to 1 years below their chronological age in the geste children I (group TO). It was observed, the influence that can have a bigger brother in the boy’s development psicomotriz, even belonging to families of low economic resources.
Conclusions: The results, show the influence that have the biggest siblings in the psychomotor development of a boy. It is observed that in the families, still of low economic resources, the smallest children are favored by the biggest siblings; since the learning process in these last ones, is given through the imitation and the game.
