ABSTRACT

Simulation is a technique that has been used in formal nursing education for more than 20 years. Its application has allowed a better training of nursing students, as well as specialists in different clinical and surgical residences and it helps with the improvement of invasive and surgical techniques.
Over the last years, we saw an increment of the use of simulations in the training of nurses and other professionals of health sciences at different stages of their educational continuum (undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing medical education).
