ABSTRACT

The nursing process is derived from the essence of the nursing profession execution that must be prioritized in the kidney transplant unit whose purpose is to meet the human needs of patients derived from the confrontation of knowledge of various scientific disciplines and professional practice by using a specialized language builder of organized elements derived from the taxonomy NANDA-NIC-NOC, the response of human beings to health and disease establishes interconnections between the concepts of people, health, environment and nursing, a target paradigm used in the process that calls nursing reason for being; with the application of the process, the specific field of action of nursing is delimited and with it, is demonstrated that the professional nurse performs numerous actions that go beyond the fulfillment of a medical prescription and since the nursing process complements what professionals from other disciplines do by focusing on human responses.
