ABSTRACT
Introduction: prebriefing is a pre-simulation session that establishes the context and instructions necessary to meet learning objectives. Despite its relevance, there is a lack of consensus on its definition and associated practices.
Objectives: to analyze the practices linked to prebriefing according to the Delphi consensus and to assess the quality of systematic reviews on the topic.
Material and methods: the PRISMA-ScR protocol was followed, reviewing databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, PubMed and Scielo using the terms "prebriefing" OR "briefing" AND "training, simulation" between February and April 2025. Quality was assessed using the AMSTAR-2 instrument.
Results: 940 articles were found, of which 12 were selected after purging duplicates and non-relevant articles. Six articles of relevant content were identified, with two of high quality and four of critically low quality according to AMSTAR-2.
Conclusions: the concept of prebriefing remains complex, with a limited literature that makes consensus on its definition and components difficult. This underscores the need for further research to clarify its implementation.
